FIRST LOOK:
The regulator takes the basic half helmet look and adds some futuristic style
making this a good looking helmet.
COMFORT:
5 The regulator has a great feel on my head nice and soft liner with plenty
of padding everywhere none of this some padding around the perimeter and none
on top.
FIT: 5 Not
too tight not too loose just right…. The earflaps fit snug against my face
to keep that cold air out.
STYLE: 5
I like the look of this helmet, they have added a bit new school to an old school
style.
FEATURES:
4 The lateral goggle retainer is something I haven't seen before it looks good
and the goggles aren't moving an inch which is what it is designed to do. The
ventilation looks to be minimal, the front two vents are adjustable the rear
vents are constant they do use a wicking liner which will help but I would reckon
this is going to be a hot helmet on warm days.
CONCERNS:
The over heating factor is my only concern with this helmet.
COLOR: Not
a huge amount of options here, though the colors they do use are sweet black
matte, silver matte, and my favorite solar gold matte.
OVERALL THOUGHTS:
4 If a new school freeride helmet is what you are looking for the regulator
might be calling your name. I never even considered uvex helmets before but
after checking this helmet out my head might be sporting a new regulator.
