  Red Frequency 2005 Manufacturer Description

A Fully loaded luxury hardtop. The New Frequency sports automotive styling and ultralight in-molded construction that sets the strength-to-weight standard.

Features:

  • MC2 Mechanical Fit and Comfort System: MC2, R.E.D.'s exclusive mechanical fit and comfort system, allows you to adjust the liner's circumference. This easy-to-use feature lets you fine-tune your fit and eliminate the bobble factor.
  • SoftFIT Comfort Liner: SoftFIT is a two-component liner that delivers the best of both worlds - customized fit in a comfortable and durable headform. This liner allows the helmet to form to the exact shape of your noggin for a one-of-a-kind fit. This two-part construction combines softness and strength to improve low energy impact absorption for staying power conventional helmets can't touch.
  • Removable Goggle Gasket: Gaper gap be gone. The removable goggle gasket protects your forehead with a thin windproof and breathable shield. You get total comfort no matter what style goggles you rock.
  • Ultra Lightweight In-Molded Polycarbonate Shell: In-mold construction utilizes ultra lightweight, aerospace-grade polycarbonate, a super strong composite material, to make the lightest weight helmets on earth. The polycarbonate shell (0.03" thick) uses heat and pressure to form its shape. This shell is then inserted into the EPS molding tools and the lightweight, energy-absorbing EPS is blown into the mold and onto the polycarbonate shell.
  • Quick Clip Earpads: The Quick Clip mechanical earpad interface mounts the earpad in the center of the EPS liner to maximize stability and minimize the width of the helmet. It ensure that the earpads stay locked in place, keeping you warm and protected every time you ride. Converting from winter to spring without changing your helmet fit is literally a snap.
  • Zip Clip Ratcheting Chin Buckle: Using snowboard binding technology, the Zip Clip ratcheting chin buckle lets you make precise adjustments in a matter of seconds, without removing your helmet.
  • Speaker Earpad Compatible: Music is an essential. The Audio Earpad represents the most progressive integration of music and protection to ever hit snow. In order to get dynamic sound and brain-rattling bass, R.E.D. based their sound system on high-end DJ-Style headphones. Crank up the decibels with 100mW speaker power to drown out the wind, and the one-touch mute control on the speaker housing can be easily controlled with glove for chairlift chats. The cord, with volume control, plugs into any iPod, MD, CD or tape player. For this helmet, the Audio Earpad is sold as an ACCESSORY!
  • ASTM 2040 / CE 1077 Safety Certified.
